I think blogs are pretty cool.⁽¹⁾⁽¹⁾Mostly this one though ;) If you've somehow made it here to a website that attempts to block all scrapers and search engine indexing, and is written by someone with no social media presence to promote it, you probably think the same so I don't feel like I need to write out why blogs and blogging is good.

I'd rather not add to the already over-saturated genre of explaining why you should blog and how the Internet used to be good in the old days before everything was consolidated into five websites.

Instead, let's talk about finding blogs. From my experience the best way of finding new blogs has always been through word of mouth. Mostly either through a forum, or other blogs.

Most people who write blogs read a lot of other blogs, and will want to share those blogs with their readers. Most commonly through a list of blogs called a "blogroll."

So WHY do they always do it in the most fucking boring way imaginable!?

Like imagine being like - Ah yes, here's a person who writes some of the most creative and thoughtful texts on the Internet. I'd love to tell other people about them, what should I do?? Oh! I know!! I'll just put them in a bullet point list with tens of other people with nothing to differentiate them!!! FUCKING BRILLIANT!

Do you expect me to just click on every link?? Sure maybe sometimes I'll get a sentence as well describing what the blog is about and who writes it. But that's just a description you'd expect on any fucking blog directory. I'm on YOUR website, tell me why this blog is here, and why I should go there.

So this is what I'm attempting to do.
