P.C Maffey

They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery. And there are few people I have copied, intentionally or not, more than P.C Maffey. It is only right then, that I start this blogroll where I "steal" website designs with this one.

This blog, or rather "digital garden," was the first time I looked at a personal website and went, "woah this is pretty cool!" Sure, there are more techincally impressive websites - I've seen one that replicated the Windows 98 OS, that was pretty neat.

But there are few where content and presentation are as engaging as the other. It's hard to describe, but everything about the site feels purposeful, like everything is in it's right place.

I don't know what else to say. It's just good, thoughtful writing, wrapped up in a compelling presentation. It's basically everything I want my blog to be - I mean, if I also wanted my blog to be more "professional" that is. I don't think you'll be seeing the site call something "poggers" or going into a crazed rant full of Australian swearing anytime soon.
